| SWANAGE is a small seaside resort developed from a tiny port exporting stone in Victorian times with the arrival of the railway. Closed by Beeching the Steam Railway is again flourishing and operates year round. The sandy beach extends from the centre of town to the foot of Ballard Down almost as far as the Old Harry Rocks. Swanage is surrounded by good places to visit such as Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove, Studland and Brownsea Island as well as the nearby resorts of Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth. There’s the Tank Museum, Putlake Adventure Farm and Monkey World. Have a look now and then book your next holiday with us in Swanage. |
